Two articles on ChatGPT with Stephan Krusche

Thursday, 13 July 2023 • Stephan Krusche

In an example of synergetic collaboration between industry and academia, two media articles have been published that delve into the world of ChatGPT. The articles feature insightful opinions with former Microsoft CTO Dr. Andreas Braun and Prof. Dr. Stephan Krusche. This collaboration addresses key issues and challenges and underscores the convergence of industry and academia in their pursuit of knowledge and innovation. With their expertise and shared commitment, they shed light on the symbiotic relationship that drives transformative progress and provide insights into how data science and AI are driving progress in an ever-evolving world.

Dr. Braun and Prof. Krusche put ChatGPT through its paces in a German article “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: The unknown entity ChatGPT” in the magazine IT-Business. Why does AI sometimes “lie”? What disruptive processes can we expect? Artificial intelligence raises fundamental questions, but an AI moratorium, as called for by Elon Musk, is a smokescreen.

Andreas Braun’s and Stephan Krusche’s opinion on data science and AI are also highlighted in issue 6 of the Mindshift magazine. The aim of the new TUM Campus magazine is to present research and teaching topics at TUM Campus Heilbronn in all their facets, bridging between economics, computer science and engineering in a dynamic, international environment. In the article “AI in the midst of society”, they discuss the implications of AI for education and industry
